Luzerne

When selecting Luzerne New Bone, you can be sure you’re getting a product that has been made with quality materials. Our commitment to long lasting quality and reliability ensures that our range is produced to the highest standards, able to withstand daily heavy usage, typical to busy hotels, restaurants and cafes.

The journey to create the finest product begins with the right mix of raw materials; ground, sieved, demagnetized and filtered to our precise standards before they are transformed into works of art. This refined clay base is then shaped in 3D plaster moulds that are painstakingly hand crafted by our craftsmen, before going into an automated kiln for the initial firing process at a temperature of 800°C. Next the pieces are painted by hand to our custom designs and glazed to achieve a variety of aesthetic effects, be it transparent, opaque or semi-matte. The glazed wares are then fired for a second time in the kiln at a temperature of 1280°C for 15 to 30 hours to produce that perfectly finished product that the market has fallen in love with.
